A very reasonably priced hotel with an ideal city centre location. No frills but the single room was clean and functional with en-suite facilities. Reception and bar staff were very pleasant and helpfull (bar prices reasonable too!). For only £28.95 a night, only 10 mins walk from the pub/club/restaurant area ,who could complain. Breakfast was £9.95 - ok a bit pricey but there was a reasonable choice of freshly cooked food and there was no que on the weekend. As it is part of the Days Inn Conference Centre it is a cut above your bog standard student residence accommodation although I would imagine that double/twin rooms in the Days Inn itself may be pricier. Overall excellent value and location.
Very convenient location, clean, well-priced, and very helpful staff. I slept well and enjoyed a hearty breakfast next morning. Will definitely plan to stay here again. Many thanks!
One of the towels was rather flimsy when I was drying between my toes!
Great for groups of Ladies or Gents wanting to enjoy the Manchester night life. Cheap, clean and near the centre. Showers were good, if small.
Single rooms obviously not much good for more friendly couples.
The price is really low for a single room and its central location - walking distance from Picadilly Railway Station.
It is a complicated building and sometimes hard to find the right room.
It's quite difficult to find the reception at the beginning. It's better more indication. It's good to consider Weston Hall if simple and clean living are enough.
Great price and great location, plus a+ staff.
The reception staff were helpful and the restaurent staff swift and attentive. The room was basic but more than adequate for my requirments. Bed comfortable and en suite clean with a shower that, although not powerful, had a good enough jet for someone with long hair like me to get the job done easily (not always the case even in expensive hotel rooms!). I'd use these Halls of Residence again.
Key a bit stiff and the corridor doors are a bit noisy when they close - sure this could be remedied easily with small pads on the inside of the door frame.
Very simple budget rooms, no frills and could do with a paint but all round good for the money.Clean bedding and towels.
No internet in the room
Excellent value for money for accomodation in central Manchester.
Wifi good in the bar.
Negativo -very shabby place - inside and outside the rooms - also noisy. But I suppose that is to be expected with young students in the rooms next door. I think you should seperate the students from the adults there in the residence on business or for leisure. The walls are so thin it's not fair on those that are not into music till late at night. The corridors were also smelly. I think it could all do with a good paint and recarpeting.
Excellent value for money, especially single travellers Good location, excellent staff.
Room service needs to give more tea and coffee sachets, shampoo and soap. Only one set for 3 days' stay Better signage needed to room locations
Cheap and cheerful; having been a student myself I knew what to expect from a hall of residence room and it was perfectly fine for somewhere to crash for the night.
Few cosmestic "blemishes" such as a missing drawer handle, quite a bad stain on the carpet and the curtains didn't entirely meet in the middle.
Rooms were excellent and comfortable. Student halls of residence yes, but noise no! Recommended.
This is not a complaint but in hot sticky weather rooms could be very uncomfortable and it would be nice to open the window wider.
Linked to conference centre, which has better facilities.
Typical student halls lacking in character.
If you are expecting 3, 4, or 5 star accommodation where you could spend some time in the hotel, then look elsewhere. If you are looking for somewhere where you can get a shower and get your head down of a night, then this is perfect. It was cheap, clean and in a perfect location.
